Dia de Los Muertos or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican holiday traditionally celebrated on November 1 and 2. It is the belief that on this day your loved ones who have passed on come back to visit you (watch Coco and you’ll get it lol). It’s also a holiday that fuels my art, and one that i’ve been drawn to ever since I could remember. I really love to play with the calavera designs and try to push them as much as possible, sometimes mixing in calligraphy or mixing of genres and time periods to achieve something new!
